What you need to know about your senior portrait session.
So the big day is here! If you have never done a professional photo shoot before, you may feel nervous or awkward in the beginning. That’s OK; the truth is everyone is a little awkward at first – you just need the right photographer to guide you along your way to make your senior portrait session fun!
During my senior sessions I like to start in the studio. This gives me time to talk to you about your session, go over clothing options, choose backdrops and get you comfortable in front of the camera.
We spend about an hour in the studio. I like to get your formal head shot done first (if it’s required) and then do a few outfits with different backdrops. You can change as many times as you like, just keep in mind the time. It’s your choice – if you’re just itching to go outside we can cut the studio time short. If you would like to stay in the studio, that is fine too.
I love to incorporate your interests into the images: cheering, music, art, baseball, football, etc. If it’s important to you, I say let it shine because it’s fun to look back on. This can also impact your location shoot. Do you love the park in the fall or a ball field in the summer? Do you want to show your school pride? When booking your session tell me what your interests are and we will plan a shoot that will incorporate what you love. I’ll make sure you look great doing it!
